Since being on the campus of Florida State University, the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma has pledged over 200 Members. The goal for bros.fsusigmas.com was to reunite and keep in contact with Mu Epsilon members from back in the 80's to the present and the future. A members only area serves as the bridge for all chapter members.
The members area requires a username and password to enter and the registration page is password protected. Members can search for other Members to get their contact information (the main site search only gives you the person's email). AJAX Chat rooms allow easy communication between multiple members logged in. A custom message board allows members to post discussions. Members can also post information on FSU classes they took.
Along with these special features in the members area, you can also update the web site. News, events, photos, videos, and music tracks can all be added/updated from the members area. Old news, events, and spotlight entries are either automatically archived or removed.
With the chapters 25th Year Reunion that just past, organizing the Reunion was made much easier from the Members only site. Members could view the T-Shirt design, get hotel information, see who was going to be attending the reunion, purchase a reunion package with the integration of paypal.com, and join a committee to help in the Reunion efforts.

The magazine print industry is tough. The cost makes it even worse. In The Zone started out as a print magazine, but Rudy Rodriguez-Chomat decided to stop the printing of the magazine and concentrate more on the online version. Stikman Technology was able to create an eye catching site which serves for a place where guest & members can get the latest stories on High School Sports in the South Florida area. Another primary function of the site which was added later was information on Rudy's traveling basketball team: Team in the Zone. Visitors are able to view the team's schedule, results, game stats, player stats, the team, and coaches. With all these nice features on the site the back-end had to be robust, easily maintainable by the inthezonemag.com staff, and of course, secure. Read some of the great features that powers inthezonemag.com.
